A rich history of success
Mexuscan Cargo was established in May 1999 during a Quebec trade mission to Mexico led by Quebec Premier Lucien Bouchard. It was during this visit that Robert Goyette signed a partnership agreement with Mexican carriers.
Today, Mexuscan Cargo offers full truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) door-to-door transportation services in Canada, between Canada and the United States, and between Canada and Mexico.
The services offered include transportation in closed trailers, temperature-controlled, open, drop deck, lowboy, curtain-sided, oversized, and maritime container transport.
Mexuscan Cargo also provides logistics services, unloading and transshipment of containers, and both short and long-term indoor and outdoor warehousing of goods.
A family
business
Robert Goyette took over the family business in 1967 in his hometown of Sainte-Martine, leading and building it for over 50 years.
- 1971: Acquisition of Urgel Charette Transport Ltée
- 1999: Acquisition of Magog Express and RPR and creation of Mexuscan Cargo
- 2005-2020: Acquisitions of Transports Emslie, Thorco, CPM, Service RM, and RH Rhediker
In 2022, he handed over the reins to his daughter and partner Marie-Chantal, who has been involved in the family business since 1990.
